“Candid photography” is the art of capturing a candid moment or image when no one is aware they’re being photographed. Candid photography is not staged, posed, or set up ahead of time. It is a fast, fluid type of photography. When taking a candid photo, the photographer pays close attention to his or her surroundings and the feelings of the people he or she is photographing.
